A converter is a kind of electronic circuit for energy conversion. This means it converts electrical energy of the supply into the energy suitable for the load (e.g., voltage or current with suitable frequency and/or amplitude). An example of a power converter is a DC-to-AC inverter which transfers DC power to AC power.
A splitter is a cable or plug that splits one connection into multiple connections. A cable splitter has one input for the signal to enter and then delegates signal to the output ports. The amount of output ports on the splitter will decrease the signal that is coming into the splitter. If you’re connecting multiple pieces of audiovisual gear to cable television or a satellite dish, you may find that you don’t have enough outputs to connect all your gear. This is where a cable splitter comes into the picture and makes things easy for you. A cable splitter lets you take a single coaxial cable input, such as cable TV or satellite, and split it for connection to multiple rooms or pieces of gear. They’re easy to use, since cable connections are standard everywhere. All you need to do is to decide where you want to install it and go for it.
The HDMI Repeater HDMIRPT overcomes typical cable length limitations and place your equipment where you wish. The HDCP compliant HDMI Repeater regenerates and equalizes the HDMI signal to ensure clear delivery over longer cable runs. Use a single repeater to reach up to 130 feet, or add a second repeater for a total length of 200 feet. A specially designed Voltage Inserter conveniently connects at the video source, where power is readily available, delivering power to the Repeater via a HDMI cable. If required a traditional direct-connect power supply is available as an option to connect to the HDMI™ Repeater. It is powered by a 5V Adaptor (include PSA011).
